Wingwave® Coaching
We can continue to carry the emotional impact of certain past experiences into the present. A previous failure, conflict, loss, or other distressing experience may still trigger stress, anxiety, or fear long after the event itself, unexpectedly influencing the way we respond.
Our body and nervous system retain the imprint of our experiences.
Wingwave® coaching aims to identify and release the emotional stress associated with these experiences and support their processing.
When do I use Wingwave®?
During an important challenge, exam, competition, presentation, or difficult decision, stress and negative emotions can easily narrow our thinking, making it harder to access our inner resources and perform to the best of our abilities. I primarily use Wingwave® coaching when stress, anxiety, a previous negative experience, or an emotional blockage continues to have a limiting effect in the present.
Wingwave® is a brief, goal-oriented coaching method that integrates elements of EMDR, muscle testing, and NLP. Its effectiveness is also supported by scientific research findings.
It can be effectively used with both children and adults, particularly to support stress reduction, psychosomatic symptoms, anxiety and fears, performance-related difficulties, and the release of inner blocks.
In some cases, noticeable changes can occur after just a few sessions; however, the length of the process always depends on the nature of the issue and the individual's needs.
How can Wingwave® help?
Wingwave® can help us recognise and process negative emotions associated with past experiences that we may continue to carry long after the events themselves, and which can still cause stress or anxiety in the present.
As emotional stress decreases, the nervous system can settle, making our inner resources more accessible. This can create a greater sense of inner freedom, emotional stability, and resilience, helping us respond more appropriately to what is happening in the present rather than allowing our responses to be shaped by past experiences or worries about the future.
Wingwave® coaching can be particularly effective in the following areas:
- stress and emotional overload
- self-confidence and concentration
- conflicts and challenging situations
- performance anxiety
- competitive situations
- mental preparation and performance optimisation for athletes
- exam stress and performance anxiety
How does it work?
Wingwave® coaching combines three complementary elements:
A kinesiology-based muscle response test helps to identify specific stress triggers and the emotional stress associated with them.
The release of this emotional stress is supported by bilateral stimulation while awake, inducing eye movements characteristic of the REM phase of sleep and operating on a principle similar to the bilateral stimulation used in EMDR.
The process is complemented by a range of coaching techniques designed to mobilise inner resources and support the development of new possibilities and solutions.
How do I work?
In my work, I always choose the approach—or combination of methods—that best supports the individual, their life situation, and their goals. As a psychotherapist and coach, I also draw on more than twenty years of international leadership experience and my background as an economist.
I integrate Wingwave® coaching with Gestalt therapeutic approaches, chronobiological psychogenetic tools, and elements of imaginative family constellation work. The latter can provide an opportunity to explore the broader family and relational context of a particular difficulty and to work with the fears, anxieties, or inhibitions associated with it. The process takes place individually, through collaboration between the client and practitioner, without the involvement of additional participants.
